Waka Flocka cancelled his performance at the University of Oklahoma after hearing about the disturbing behavior of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity chanting racial slurs in unison. There is video footage showing young men on a bus chanting, “There will never be a n—-r at SAE.” The video surfaced over the weekend and was posted by Unheard, which describes itself as “an alliance of black students organized for change within campus administration and atmosphere.” The university has severed all affiliations with the fraternity. Waka Flocka’s statement “I must say I’m disgusted and disappointed in the actions of the SAE fraternity at University of Oklahoma and I will be canceling my scheduled performance for them next month,” Flocka said in an Instagram photo. “Racism is something I will not tolerate.” The national SAE organization made this announcement “We apologize for the unacceptable and racist behavior of the individuals in the video, and we are disgusted that any member would act in such a way,” the online statement read. “Furthermore, we are embarrassed by this video and offer our empathy not only to anyone outside the organization who is offended but also to our brothers who come from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities.” World News Videos | US News Videos Tweet Share on Tumblr
